Wild West Pioneers Confirmed building list
Every plot shown in the demo, store pages, and public footage — names only, with pointers to the ranked lists.
This is the roster, not the tier list. Wild West Pioneers still heads toward Early Access on 25 September 2026 (Steam, GOG, Epic, Windows, single-player). The February 2026 Steam demo listing and official store footage are the sources. If a factory is not named below, it is not confirmed. For S/A/B/C grades open the buildings hub. For keys open controls. For PC specs open system requirements. The parent index is the tools hub.
Talent tracks in the demo group unlocks (Trail Camp, Dusty Village, and later Pioneer Settlement rows). Those tracks are not buildings. Grey menu rows that say to wait for a later build are not buildings either. This page only lists plots you can actually discuss as placeable today.
Civic core
Town Hall. First civic click. Anchors the HUD and the tutorial. You do not need a second hall in the opening hours.
Warehouse. Storage and porter links. Marked rings show how many workers a connection needs; shorter walks need fewer people. Ranked S on industry. Production without this box is pointless.
Well. Early water for tents and other thirsty plots. Use the water overlay before you place it. Ranked with housing on housing buildings.
Church. Later civic comfort. Not a food source. Build after roofs and meals exist.
Housing and camps
Tents. Opening homes. They need water access. Compact clusters beat river-long ribbons.
Houses / wooden cabins. Comfort upgrade that costs planks. Homes post whims (saloon access is the usual one). Upgrade after the sawmill has surplus, not the minute the node lights up.
Settler base. Confirmed support plot. Not a house and not the Town Hall. Place it when the unlock is real and you have spare workers.
Worker camp. Labor capacity, not a residence. Easy to confuse with housing; it belongs with industry support.
Water tank. Extra water capacity after the well. Same overlay rules as other thirsty buildings.
Food and drink
Hunter’s cabin. Pulls game where the wildlife overlay highlights animals. S-tier protein on food buildings. Needs a warehouse ring.
Food shop. Civic counter that turns stored food into dinner for homes. Hunters live on wildlife; shops live on house roads.
Butcher. Refinement step after raw hunting. Not a day-one stall. One staffed butcher beats a row of empty ones.
Corn ranch. Farm that starts the bourbon chain. Not a generic wheat field. Place it when cabin whims mention drink, with warehouse access.
Distillery. Converts ranch output into bourbon. Often waits on a chunk of planks. Park it near the ranch, not across the map.
Saloon. Delivers bourbon to homes. Store copy about keeping the saloon supplied is literal. A saloon without a distillery is a closed bar.
Timber, scouts, and travel
Logger’s cabin. Opening timber. Sit it on trees inside a warehouse ring. S-tier on the industry list.
Sawmill. Logs to planks. Gates cabins, distillery, and saloon. B-tier until you need those upgrades, then it is the bottleneck.
Scout cabin. Opens expeditions. Select the mission, click a map location, press Explore. Strategy sits on expeditions; the click order sits on controls.
Roads. Free-form paths. Follow warehouse rings and house clusters. A highway into empty lots is a delay.
Bridges. River crossings. Useful when the founding stream becomes a wall; still late relative to the first mill.
Transport hubs / caravans. Multi-site logistics once the world map matters. They do not replace the first warehouse.
Railroad prep. Later-stage promise, not a demo factory. No rail yard is graded or treated as placeable on this roster.
Decorations and wishes
The decoration / wishes panel is a separate bottom-bar mode. Confirmed touches include benches, pets, instruments, and fences. Scarecrows and similar props show up in play sessions as whim fulfills. They make settlers feel at home and they never replace a warehouse. Ranked C on the buildings hub. Place them after food, water, and roofs, and do not block porter rings with a fence maze.

What this list refuses to add
No hospitals as a confirmed placeable (menu teases that wait for a later build stay off). No brickworks, no steel mill, no 1.0 rail depot, no invented tool forge. Journey quests can unlock buildings that shape growth; until those plots are named and placeable, they are not rows here. Early Access is expected to add more upgradable buildings and biomes. When a new plot is actually in a build you can click, it earns a name on this page and then a grade on the tier lists. Until then, a silhouette is not a roster entry.
If two guides disagree on a name (Scout cabin versus Scout’s cabin, logger versus logging camp), this list prefers the wording used in tooltips: logger’s cabin, hunter’s cabin, scout cabin, corn ranch, food shop. Alias confusion is not a new building.
Print this page as the hammer cheat sheet: civic, housing, food, timber, scouts, cosmetics. Then close it and play. The ranked children exist so you do not have to reread every definition when Dust Creek is already hungry. When the 25 September 2026 build ships a plot missing from every heading above, add it here first as unranked, then argue its grade on the tier pages. That order keeps the roster honest and stops a rumor mill from filling the valley with factories nobody can place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for settlers heading west.
Is this a tier list?
No. It is the confirmed roster. Grades live on the buildings hub and the housing, food, and industry children.
Does the saloon produce bourbon?
No. The distillery produces bourbon from the corn ranch. The saloon delivers it to homes.
Are decorations real buildings?
They are placeable wishes (benches, pets, instruments, fences). They sit on the decoration panel and rank C, not S.
Is the railroad in the demo?
Railroad prep is listed as later content. This roster does not treat rail yards as placeable. See Early Access notes.
Where do scout cabins fit?
They open expeditions on the world map. Read expeditions and the Explore click on controls.
Will Early Access add more buildings?
Yes. EmpireCraft has said Early Access includes more upgradable buildings. This page only names plots already shown.
