Wild West Pioneers Guides Hub
First-hour loop, production, expeditions, and demo notes in one map.
Wild West Pioneers is a single-player frontier city builder from EmpireCraft Studios in Poland, published by Toplitz Productions in Germany. Early Access is scheduled for 25 September 2026 on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for Windows PC. This hub is the index for every how-to on the wiki: where to plant a Town Hall, why warehouse radius eats your workforce, how a saloon keeps people from packing up, and how scouts turn one creek into a chain of towns.
Steam listed a playable demo in February 2026 around Steam Next Fest. An open playtest window runs 2–14 September 2026 from 08:00 UTC. Neither slice is the finished Early Access build; the studio has said that stage should last about a year. Learn the loop the demo already teaches, then keep dates honest on Early Access notes and the playtest window.
Start here if you have not founded a town
Open Getting Started for camera, overlays, and the resource HUD, then follow First Settlement to place a river town beside water and wildlife. If you only have one sitting, the demo walkthrough is a linear pass from the first overlay click to a scout expedition.
The opening loop is small on purpose. You pick a site, raise a Town Hall, drop a warehouse, then stand up a logger cabin and a hunter cabin. Tents and houses want the water overlay. A well and a food shop keep people fed and watered. A sawmill turns logs into boards. A saloon sends bourbon toward homes. A scout cabin and a settler base open the world map. Production chains is the logistics page. Settlers is the happiness page.
After the first night
Once meat, water, and boards move, the game opens sideways. Expeditions covers scout points of interest: ghost towns, camps, abandoned mines, gold, merchants, strangers, and treasures. Settler expeditions plant a second Town Hall on a site a scout already marked. Caravans on the world map (footage shows labels such as EXIT POST SOUTH CARAVAN into Dust Creek) are how towns share freight. A railroad is a later goal, not a day-one unlock.
Deep dives now live on Journey quests, trade routes, and citizen roles. Journey quests grant XP that unlocks buildings along a tree the demo shows as Trail Camp, then Dusty Village, then Pioneer Settlement. Scouts, a water tank, a worker camp, a settler base, a sawmill, a well, and a food shop sit on that ladder. You do not have to chase the missing-father story at full speed; the campaign sits beside an optional relaxed town-builder pace.
Buildings, tools, and store pages
When you want a ranked build order instead of a narrative, use the building priority list plus the building list. Housing, food, and industry each have their own ranking pages under that hub. Camera keys and overlay buttons live on controls. Confirm Windows specs on system requirements before you install a demo or playtest build. Publisher and store links sit on links.
This wiki is unofficial. Steam app 3222640 is the listing to wishlist; a public price has not been posted. English has full audio. French, German, Spanish (Spain), Polish, Simplified Chinese, and Russian cover interface and subtitles. The wiki itself publishes English, French, German, and Spanish. Voice work in current builds uses real actors after the studio replaced earlier AI placeholder lines.
How to use these pages together
Each guide is written for the demo and the announced Early Access plan, not for buildings that have not been shown. If a video and the Steam page disagree, in-game tooltips and the store page win. Placement colors (blue valid, yellow a resource penalty, red invalid), warehouse radius, and movable buildings are consistent across footage. Exact unlock costs are omitted here because they still move between builds.
Read sibling pages in order rather than tab-hopping the whole hub. Getting Started assumes you can rotate the camera. First Settlement assumes you know the water overlay. Production assumes a warehouse exists. Expeditions assume a scout cabin. Settlers assume a food shop can actually stock a ration. The demo walkthrough stitches those assumptions into one evening.
When Early Access opens on 25 September 2026, come back through this hub first. New biomes, more settlements on the world map, and later railroad work will land as their own guides. Until then, treat Dust Creek as a classroom: a named creek town, a skip-the-night button, a day cycle, and a reminder that unhappy people leave.
If you only bookmark two URLs besides this hub, make them the demo walkthrough and the playtest window. The walkthrough is the evening you already have. The playtest page is the calendar so you do not confuse a February Steam listing with the 2–14 September 2026 08:00 UTC test. Wishlist the Steam page when you want patch news. The creek will still be dusty when you return.
